As I said before, we are not a family of singers. With the exception of my mom and nieces, none of us have good voices. I'm not being modest, just truthful. People will say, 'Oh, I'm sure you can sing.' Well, of course I can sing, I just can't sing well. There's a HUGE difference. Anyway, we knew that they always have a karaoke night at the ranch where we were going. Last year, when we saw 'Mamma Mia', my sisters and I decided that we would do a song from that. We had big plans for costumes, dance moves, etc. Fast forward a year, and the reunion was coming quickly and we had done nothing to prepare. At one of our recent get-togethers, most of our siblings were sounding pretty negative about the whole singing thing. So, we took it upon ourselves to start things off. We practiced our dancing at camp and made a quick trip to DI for our fabulous outfits. It worked. We started things off, and everyone, having seen us throw our dignity to the wind, followed. Almost everyone sang, (My brother-in-law even sang a solo. He doesn't have our genes and can actually carry a tune.)
Adam, Jake, Uncle Jerry and Brent (cousin) singing 'Salty Dog'.
