We went to Camp Kiesel for day camp on Tuesday. We had 8 boys go and I'm happy to report that it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. It actually was alot of fun. It's absolutely beautiful up there. The camp is so well run and the staff members, who are mostly teenagers are enthusiatic and so good with the kids.

We learned about Indian lore and how to tie knots. We rowed boats on the lake and hunted 'beavers'. Funny, but the boys favorite thing was the trading post where they got to spend their money.
My three boys at camp. Jake was our guide and did a great job, (when did his voice get so low?). Adam gets to guide Hunter's group on Saturday. It was fun getting to see what they do each day. I'm so proud of my boys!!

You should be proud -- they are good boys!:) and YES, the trading post is the MOST fun. Maybe not the most memorable -- but it does cause a stir! -- again, thanks for being so good to Gar.
Oh, gotta love Scout camps. I love that you mentioned Jakes low voice. It was funny when Nik's started changing. It always sounded funny and he kept trying to control that little waver that they get. We always teased him. I gave Nik Adam's message. He said "Hey" back!
Looks like fun. cool that you got to go "tough" it with your boys. I also wonder when my older two boys voices got so low...especially my little Joshy...man his is sooooo low. There have been many an occasion I have wondered with a start what strange man is in my house only to find one of the older boys!
I miss scout camp. After going to camp for four years in a row it was weird to not go this year. I remember the first year I went I was not sure how it was going to be, but I was pleasantly suprised, and yes, the trading post is one of the favorite spots for the boys.
I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Camp Keisel. Sounds like they are having lots of fun this year. How fun to have Jacob be your leader, I'm glad you got to go spend the day. I miss going with my boys, we have a lot of good memories.
