Last week's first day of school was just a teaser for me. Max went that first day, then didn't have school the rest of the week. Cruel!! I don't know if it was harder for him or me. He would cry every morning when he realized the other boys were going and he had to stay home. Well, we made it through and today he left with Spencer and Hunter and is at this moment on the bus to kindergarten. And my house is quiet.
I've had people ask me what I'm going to do with myself, now that my kids are all in school. I've actually been giving that a lot of thought. They say a goal isn't a goal until you write it down, so I decided to make a list of the things I want to accomplish with my time.
Here goes,
- Finish my book revision. (Not the thing I want to do first, but the one I need to do first.)
- Put out my fall decorations.
- Sew the dress for my Raggedy Ann doll.
- Paint my kitchen accent wall. (barn red)
- Paint my bedroom. (not sure of the color, maybe blue)
- Clean my cabinet doors, then glaze them.
Ok, that's a start. Actually for me, that's like a years list. But, I figure if I know what I want to do, and I put it out there for all to see, it'll give me the motivation to get it done. I'll keep you updated on my progress.

I need to make a list like this as well. You are good at accomplishing things, so I'm sure it will be done before you know it. Let me know if you want to have a painting party. Chelsea & I are getting really good and painting the house down here.
I too need to make a list -- painting my bedroom is on mine. I have it scheduled for Friday -- we'll see.;)
So ambitious. Not me. You are so awesome for wanting to help me out! I love you!!!
I was just thinking I need to make a list like this, then I saw what Jacque wrote. Great minds think alike! I have been working on Kowhai's room way too long now. I've it a dead patch three days into starting it. My poor kids!!
Book revision - are you writing a book? Too cool!
Good luck! I only have 2 mornings a week all to myself and it never seems to fail that something comes up to 'trump' what I have planned. Usually church meetings, volunteering at school, errands, etc. Stick to your plans!
